CRM’s sustainability policies recognised by global ratings scheme
Our proactive approach to sustainable policy-making has been recognised by a leading global sustainability rating scheme.
We were invited to submit to the EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment by NatWest as one of their preferred suppliers in support of the bank’s mission to put sustainability at the heart of their business strategy.
CRM successfully completed the assessment on 21 indicators over four main themes, which included environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement, to win the EcoVardis Silver Medal.
EcoVadis is the leading global sustainability rating company with over 75,000 businesses across 200 industries and 160 countries within their network.
As part of the accreditation process CRM provided EcoVardis with insight into the firm’s policies around recycling and energy consumption and scored particularly highly on ethics where policies were described as exceptional.
Christine Greenhalgh, Director at CRM, said it reflected the focus on people in the business. “We place them at the forefront of everything we do.
“We are delighted to have been recognised by EcoVardis at silver level but our priority now is going for Gold in 2022. The scorecard highlighted strengths and areas for improvement which we are now working on.”
Driving high standards in sustainability comes as we move into our second decade of trading with a new UK HQ in Salford and an ambitious growth strategy.
Christine Greenhalgh added: “As COP26 has reminded us we need to champion our own response to sustainable trading across a range of measures and make sure everyone is committed to making sure it is central to how we grow our business.”
