CRM goes for Gold in sustainability rating scheme

We have again been recognised by a leading global sustainability rating scheme, moving up from a silver rating to gold in just 18 months.

This year we have gone one step further in the scheme, building on a 2022 invitation to submit to the prestigious EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment programme in support of banking partners. The move aligns CRM with others on a similar mission to put sustainability and ethics at the heart of their business activities.

CRM successfully completed the assessment on 21 indicators over three main themes, which included environment, labour and human rights, and ethics, to win the EcoVardis Gold Medal.

EcoVadis is the leading global sustainability rating company with over 75,000 businesses across 200 industries and 160 countries within its network.

As part of the accreditation process CRM provided EcoVardis with insight into the firm’s policies around recycling and energy consumption and scored particularly highly again on ethics where policies were described as exceptional.

Whistleblower procedures around reporting information security concerns and awareness training to prevent security breaches and corruption were identified as strengths.

CRM was also acknowledged for its labour and human rights policies, which included flexible working arrangements, employee health and safety risk assessments, accommodation of employees with disabilities, regular performance reviews and ongoing provision of skills development training.

Tony Roche, Director at CRM, said: “The team has worked hard to implement a number of advanced management changes in the last 18 months to ensure we achieved this Gold rating recognition by EcoVardis.

“It is great for the business, our people and partners in the professional services community across the UK who share our commitment to taking these measures of responsible business practice very seriously. No work is ever done however and we will continue to make improvements.”

The company is set to end its financial year with a good set of results and ambitious growth targets for 2024 including the opening of an office in Leeds to expand its much-needed debt recovery and distress advisory services into Yorkshire.
