Let us introduce you to… Theresa Divers, our newly appointed Apprentice Administration Assistant
As our team – and client base – here at Cerberus Receivables Management continues to grow, we’ve recently appointed Theresa Divers as Apprentice Administration Assistant.
At 18 years of age, Theresa is our latest apprentice and joins us with three strong A-Levels and, more importantly, a real desire to pursue a career in a fast-paced professional services environment like ours.
In her role, Theresa will undertake office management and administrative duties, as well as supporting our senior team and its ever-growing workload. During her 18-month apprenticeship, she’ll be combining her professional responsibilities in our Manchester office with City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration studies.
We partnered with the Growth Company Education & Skills – one of the largest providers of work-based learning for young people and adults – to recruit for this role. It’s a not-for-profit company that has already supported thousands of young people who want to kick-start their careers and achieve their full potential. And, Theresa is no exception.
Our Director Christine Greenhalgh said: “Theresa is a very welcome addition to our team and we’re especially pleased to be bucking the trend when it comes to recruitment in what are these unprecedented times.
“We’re told that the pandemic has brought about a 50% decline in UK apprenticeships, which is such as shame when you think about the huge pool of bright, ambitious and new young talent out there – just like Theresa.
“Theresa’s apprenticeship with us will be for 18 months. During this time, with our support, she will achieve her formal City & Guilds qualification. We’ll also be providing her with additional training and CPD opportunities during this time and supporting her career progression within our team. Our commitment is most definitely long term.”
New recruit Theresa Divers said: “I was so keen to get real-life, hands-on professional services experience after completing my A-Levels this summer, and I’m really pleased to have been taken on by CRM.
“The company is professional, agile and at the top of its game, and I’ve learned so much already in just a matter of weeks. The practical day-to-day experience really supports my classroom-based learning and I’m really looking forward to what the next year and a half has in store for me – not to mention the great foundations it builds for my career.”
